Assessing your elbow, wrist, shoulder and neck and assessing whole body movement and recruitment patterns
Golfers Elbow produces pain on the inside of the elbow that makes gripping, lifting and twisting sore. You don't need to play golf to get it.
Pain on the inside of your elbow, sometimes into the forearm
Pain gripping, lifting or making a fist
Weakness in your grip or wrist
Worse with golf, gym work, DIY or repetitive tasks
Golfer's elbow is an overload of the tendons that attach the forearm muscles to the inside of the elbow. It builds up with repeated gripping and bending of the wrist.
Gym training, racket sports, trades and even lots of typing can cause it. Tendons respond best to the right kind of treatment, not just rest.
Assessing your elbow, wrist, shoulder and neck and assessing whole body movement and recruitment patterns
Soft tissue work, dry needling and ultrasound treatments as well as muscle activation techniques to address the ultimate overload cause.
A progressive tendon strengthening program will be given
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly. If I think you need a scan or a GP's opinion, I'll tell you.
Will my health insurance cover it?
Most major insurers don't cover sports therapy, but some smaller providers that cover alternative therapies will refund your fees. Check with your insurer.
What should I wear?
No specific clothing is required
