Assess what needs support
Which joint or muscle needs help, and during which activities.
Supportive taping to protect injured joints and help you keep moving while you recover.
Rigid sports tape supports and restricts movement at an injured joint, often ankles, fingers and wrists. Kinesiology tape is stretchy and supports muscles and joints without limiting movement.
Taping is used during recovery and on return to sport, alongside treatment and rehab rather than instead of them.
Which joint or muscle needs help, and during which activities.
Rigid tape will be used if the joint needs mechanical support. Kinesiology tape is used to manipulate soft tissue movement over a joint.
How long to wear it and, where useful, how to apply it yourself.
Not sure what's causing your pain? You don't need to pick a treatment. I'll assess you and recommend what suits your injury.
Can I just book this treatment?
You can, but most people leave it to me. Every session is 45 minutes and the same price, and I'll combine whichever methods your injury needs. You can always say no to any technique.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly. If I think you need a scan or a GP's opinion, I'll tell you.
What should I wear?
No specific clothing is required
Tell me roughly what's going on and I'll recommend the right treatment. I'll get back to you as soon as I'm out of clinic.
