Pulled a hamstring, calf, groin or hip? I'll help it heal properly and get you back to sport without it going again.
A sudden sharp pain or pull during activity
Bruising, swelling or a tender spot in the muscle
Pain when you stretch or tense the muscle
Weakness, or a strain that keeps coming back
A strain is damage to a muscle or the tendon attaching it to bone. Hamstrings, calves, thighs and groins are most common, often when sprinting, jumping or changing direction. The hip has many muscles around it and any one of these can go tight, pull or become inflamed.
Fatigue, poor warm-ups, previous strains and strength imbalances all raise the risk. Proper rehab matters, as re-injury is common when people return too soon.

Soft tissue work, dry needling, taping and specific strengthening exercises
Progressive strength and speed work before you're back to full training or matches.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly. If I think you need a scan or a GP's opinion, I'll tell you.
Will my health insurance cover it?
Most major insurers don't cover sports therapy, but some smaller providers that cover alternative therapies will refund your fees. Check with your insurer.
What should I wear?
No specific clothing is required
A rough description is plenty. I'll get back to you as soon as I'm out of clinic.
