Assess the joint
Assessment to see how it moves, where it's stiff and what's causing the pain.
Slow, gentle joint movements to ease stiffness and pain, suitable even when manipulation isn't.
Mobilisation uses slow, rhythmic movements of a joint, graded to how painful and stiff it is. It's gentler than manipulation and doesn't involve a quick thrust.
It's used to reduce pain and restore movement in the spine, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles, and is often a good option for older patients or very painful joints.
Assessment to see how it moves, where it's stiff and what's causing the pain.
Gentle, rhythmic movements graded from 1-3 and matched to how the joint responds.
Simple movements to keep the stiffness from creeping back.
Not sure what's causing your pain? You don't need to pick a treatment. I'll assess you and recommend what suits your injury.
Can I just book this treatment?
You can, but most people leave it to me. Every session is 45 minutes and the same price, and I'll combine whichever methods your injury needs. You can always say no to any technique.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly. If I think you need a scan or a GP's opinion, I'll tell you.
What should I wear?
No specific clothing is required
Tell me roughly what's going on and I'll recommend the right treatment. I'll get back to you as soon as I'm out of clinic.
