Pain around your jaw joint, cheek or just in front of your ear
Clicking, popping or grinding when you open your mouth
A jaw that feels stiff or gets stuck
Headaches, earache, or pain that's worse after chewing
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your lower jaw to your skull. Problems usually come from overworked jaw muscles, often through clenching or grinding your teeth, stress, or changes in how the joint moves. It can also be caused by dental issues.
The jaw, neck and upper back are closely linked, so posture and neck tension often play a part. Many people find a night guard from their dentist helps alongside treatment.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can book directly. If I think you need a scan or a GP's opinion, I'll tell you.
Will my health insurance cover it?
Most major insurers don't cover sports therapy, but some smaller providers that cover alternative therapies will refund your fees. Check with your insurer.
What should I wear?
No specific clothing is required
