The challenge

Cathy came to Billericay Sports Therapy with a 7 month history of a tingling sensation in her jaw and chin. It had since progressed to pain in her right side neck and head. Having previously had an MRI scan which didn’t show any reason for her symptoms she was offered injection therapy by the doctors. The only other previous treatment she’d had was a course of Osteopathy but any improvements were short lived.

Our solution

My treatment for Cathy was aimed at down regulating her Autonomic nervous system to stimulate a Parasympathetic, relaxed nervous state. I did this by using a specialist, manual neuromuscular technique and by educating her on optimising her Diaphragm function. I also used massage techniques to relieve tension in her jaw and head muscles.

Last year I had, funny sensation (creeping) that started on my chin and went all the way past my ear and to the top of my head and my neck. Although, this only started now and again and wasn't a problem, it gradually got worse and was nearly constant during the day and would wake me up at night. After speaking to the doctor, I was referrred for a brain scan, which proved there wasn't anything wrong and was referred to a spine specialist (who I saw in January 2022) as apparently, there was a problem in my spine. This Specialist recommended that I have injections in my spine, after he pointed out that there was a very slight chance of some paralysis, I said I wanted to think about it and discuss it with my husband. He said he would send me an appointment for a months time (still waiting). I decided to go to Billericay Sports Therapy Clinic in Billericay to see Gary Ling. I have seen Gary several times now and I have to say all my problems have disappeared completely. I am so grateful to Gary as he has healed me naturally without any need for injections or any other interference from Specialists. Would not hesitate to recommend him. Very Professional.
